Coming Soon: I'm InTouch Premium |
01 Communique is readying a centrally administered remote access solution ideal for SMBs.
|
 |
Many small to medium size businesses would like to provide employees with remote access to their work PCs but are hesitant because of perceived costs or concerns over security. I'm InTouch premium will alleviate these concerns by providing a low cost and secure remote access solution for companies to deploy. I'm InTouch Premium features:
- Central Administration
New to I'm InTouch Premium is the ability to group multiple I'm InTouch licenses that can be assigned to a special central administrator account. The central administrator can manage all the computers associated with the account using a secure web page. From this webpage, the administrator can add and delete I'm InTouch licenses, configure settings, and remotely access any computer assigned to the account.
- Remotely turn on a PC
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to remotely access a computer even if it had been turned off? Thanks to 01 Communique's patent-pending Remote Wake-Up technology, you can remotely turn on and control your computer from a simple and secure web page. It's perfect if you are travelling and do not want to leave your computer running the entire time.
- Setup in Minutes - No IT Person Required
Forget assigning IP addresses, opening ports, configuring routers, or complicated installs. With I'm InTouch Premium you are up and running within minutes. Just login to the I'm InTouch Premium administration page, activate the desired number of licenses, and email the installation instructions to the end-users.
Look for I'm InTouch Premium in early 2008.

01 Communique also offers I'm InTouch: Corporate Server Edition, a secure remote access solution that you own and operate by deploying the I'm InTouch remote access gateway server at your business premise. Authorized employees or IT staff can then remotely login and control PCs and servers within your business.

Q. How do I set up remote printing in I'm InTouch?
A. I'm InTouch's remote printing feature allows you to print a file from your distant computer to a printer installed on the computer you are sitting at. Remote printing is especially useful in situations where transferring the file is not an option since the computer you are sitting at does not have the software required to open the file but you need a hard copy right away.
To set up remote printing:
-
Right click the green satellite in your task bar and select Setup Remote Printer.
-
On the I'm InTouch Remote Printer Setup screen, click Add.
-
The Add Printer Wizard opens. Follow the instructions provided at the bottom of each screen.
-
On the Local or Network Printer screen, select Local Printer and ensure Plug and Play auto detection is not selected. Select Next.
-
On the Select the Printer Port screen, ensure IIT Port is highlighted and select Next.
-
Select the Manufacturer and Printer, then select Next.
-
On the Use Existing Driver Screen, choose "Keep existing driver". Select Next.
-
On the Name Your Printer screen, the printer will be given the name IIT (short for I'm InTouch). If desired, change the name. This will be presented as one of your printers during a remote session. Select Next.
-
On the Printer Sharing screen, select "Do not share this printer" and click Next.
-
On the Print test Page screen, select NO. Then select Next.
-
After completing the Add Printer Screen, you are now ready to remotely print. From the My Desktop screen, select the IIT printer from the print dialog screen.
